Dom Tech Appliances (DTA) offers a complete repair service covering many brands and models of
washing machines, dryers,
benchtop dishwashers and
kitchen appliances throughout the Melbourne Metropolitan Area.
Stockists of Candy, Thor, Bendix, Indesit and Ariston spare parts, our experienced technicians are able to attend to your home or business and in the majority of cases, repair your appliance on the spot after providing you with a complete quotation. Should our staff need to obtain additional parts, a suitable time will be arranged for their return and you will only be charged for the parts & labour on the return visit rather than a full service call.
Alternatively, you may wish to drop your appliance off at our workshop for a quote/repair. (Please contact DTA prior, should you require assistance in unloading your appliance).
Should your appliance require workshop repairs and a loan machine would be of assistance to you, please enquire regarding availability with the
DTA office.
APPLIANCE SERVICING
- Available Monday to Friday between 7am and 4pm
- Generally a technician can attend within 48 hours of booking, however if you are requesting a particular time or day, please understand that this may delay our attendance. We work to ensure our service is as convenient as possible for our customers and will contact you the day prior to confirm the two hour window timeframe that our technician will be arriving in.
- Quotations and servicing are also available in our Mitcham workshop if you would prefer to drop-off and pick-up your appliance. Please contact DTA prior to confirm, but generally a workshop technician is in attendance Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 5.00pm
- A limited number of 'FIRST CALL' bookings can be taken in advance, ensuring you are the first customer attended to in the morning by our technicians (between 7.00am & 7.30am)
- When booking a service call, please have the following information available:
- Contact name, address details and phone numbers (home, work and mobile)
- Brand and model number of your machine
- Brief description of what the service issue is with your machine (this information is important to assist our technicians in ensuring they arrive with the necessary equipment and spare parts)
SERVICE CALL CHARGES AND REPAIR QUOTATIONS
- $126.50 - Service Call Charge (inclusive of gst and the first 15 minutes of our technicians labour), plus $22.00 per additional 15mins (inclusive of gst)
- NOTE: Service call charges (inclusive of labour and spare parts) must be paid for in full prior to the technicians departure from your premises . Cash, VISA or MC are all accepted. Payment by cheque is ONLY by prior arrangement with our office.
- Should our technician need to make a return visit to fit parts etc, our office will prepare a quote and contact you for approval. A deposit for this may also be required at this stage.
- $88.00 - Quotation Fee for repairs when the appliance is dropped off/picked up from our workshop. (NOTE: This fee must be paid upfront, however 50% of this fee is credited towards your repairs if you choose to proceed)

SPARE PARTS
- If wishing to purchase spare parts, you may visit our workshop in Mitcham or contact our office if wishing to have items posted. We suggest contacting us via phone first to ensure the part you require is currently in stock.
- For postage of spare parts, please forward your order via fax or email to DTA accompanied by full payment details (Visa or MC). If you are unsure of part number, cost or availability, please contact the DTA office and we will be pleased to provide you with the necessary information. Postage is charged at a flat rate of $15 with the exception of very large parts or equipment which may require a higher rate. Courier fees are available on application.
WARRANTY ON NEW PURCHASES - DOM TECH
- Unless otherwise stated in writing, Dom Tech Appliances standard warranty applies
- Candy Kitchen Appliances and Washing Machines sold directly by Dom Tech Appliances are covered by the following warranty:
- 24 months parts and labour (with the exception being damage due to misuse or mishandling)
- Thor Benchtop Dishwashers sold directly by Dom Tech Appliances are covered by the following warranty:
- 12 months parts and labour (with the exception of damage due to misuse or mishandling)
- This warranty is provided under a 'cash & carry' system, whereby the appliance must be returned to Dom Tech Appliances in Mitcham, Victoria for assessment/repair.
- Other appliances, trade seconds etc. may be sold under specific warranty terms as detailed by DTA to the customer at time of purchase
WARRANTY ON PARTS INSTALLED BY DOM TECH APPLIANCES
- A 6 month warranty is provided on parts installed by Dom Tech Australia, with the exception of second hand parts. Should a warranty be provided on second hand parts, this will be noted on the invoice.
- A 30 day warranty on labour is provided for all repairs and servicing carried out by DTA technicians (NOTE: This applies only to the specific work that was carried out and does not provide for complimentary service calls for additional repair issues which may arise)
(NOTE: Dom Tech does NOT provide any warranty on parts purchased directly from us that are not installed by our technicians)
WARRANTY - EXTENDED
All of our appliances are available for purchase with extended warranties upto 5 years. Prices vary so please contact us to obtain pricing.
Customers who have previously purchased Thor,
Bendix,
Ariston, Indesit or Candy products through a retail outlet, may have elected to purchase extended warranty on their
appliance.
In this case, please contact your extended warranty provider with your original purchase information. They will then contact
Dom Tech Appliances, providing us with the authority to contact you regarding
repairing your appliance.
